Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sesame seeds (til)
  • 3/4  cup jaggery (gud), grated or chopped
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 2 tbsp peanuts
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder

Method:

  1. Roast sesame seeds in a heated pan without any oil. Remove from pan when they turn golden . Set aside.
  2. Roast peanuts , dispose of the skin.
  3. Heat ghee and add jaggery, in the same pan. Stir together till it melts and thickens.
  4. At this stage, to improve flavor, add cardamom powder .
  5. Quickly blend in roasted sesame seeds and peanuts. Stir properly so the whole lot is coated with jaggery.
  6. The ladoos should be formed while the mixture is still hot. For making ladoos grease your fingers with ghee and form small ladoos.
  7. Let the ladoos cool down. Store them in an airtight jar.
