Mawa Coconut Ladoo

Rich mawa , desiccated coconut and cardamom-flavor and joyful. This Sweet is a festive favorite, as easy to make, which is a soft, melt-in-mouth with  rich mawa , coconut and cardamom.

Method:

  1. Heat ghee:
    • In non-stick pan, add ghee and add grated mawa. Stir constantly on a low flame until it is soft and starts to melt.
  2. Add coconut and condensed milk  
    • Mix in desiccated coconut and condensed milk. Stir well until the mixture is thickened and start to release the sides of the pan.
  3. Add taste  
    • For flavor, add cardamom powder and chopped nuts and its done. Turn off the flame.
  4. Shape Ladoos  
    • Let the mixture cool slightly. Grease your palms and shape in small round shape.
  5. Coat and garnish  
    • Roll each ladoo into a discs. Garnish with rose petals or silver vark .

Tips and Variety:

  • Use fresh coconut for a more moist composition, but reduce condensed milk slightly.  
  • Add saffron strands to soak in warm milk.  
  • For a vegan version, use coconut milk solids and plant based condensed milk.  
  • Store in an airtight container for 4 days at room temperature or refrigerator for a week.
