Ingredients:

  • 2 cups grated lauki
  • 2 cups full cream milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp ghee
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp chopped cashews
  • 2 tbsp chopped almonds
  • 2 tbsp grated khoya

Method:

  1. Preparing Lauki
    • Take a lauki, remove its skin, seeds, and grate the lauki. Remove all the extra water.
  2. Cook Lauki
    • Heat ghee in a pan, add grated lauki, and sauté till its half cooked .
  3. Add Milk
    • Add in milk and cook on medium flame until lauki softens and milk reduces.
  4. Sweeten
    • Add sugar and stir continuously. The mixture will loosen after which thicken again.
  5. Flavor
    • Add cardamom powder and khoya at this stage.
  6. Finish
    • Add nuts, mix properly, and cook until the mixture leaves the edges of the pan.
  7. Set
    • Transfer to a greased tray, flatten it on the top to even out, and garnish .
  8. Cut & Serve
    • Once it is cool, cut into any shape of your choice and enjoy.
