Palak Paneer Recipe

 Ingredients

 For the Spinach Base:

  • 250 grams clean spinach leaves (washed and chopped)
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 medium tomatoes (pureed)
  • 2-3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1-inch piece of ginger (grated)
  • 1 green chili ( finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons oil or ghee
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • half of teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste

 For the Paneer:

  • 200 grams paneer (cubed)
  • 1 tablespoon oil or ghee 

 Optional Garnish:

  • 2 tablespoons sparkling cream 
  • Chopped coriander leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Spinach 
    • Blanch the Spinach: Boil water in a massive pot and add the spinach leaves. Cook for two-3 mins until wilted. Immediately transfer the spinach to a bowl of ice water to hold its colorful green color.
    • Blend: Drain the spinach and mix it into a smooth puree the usage of a blender or food processor.
  2.   Cook the Base 
    • Heat Oil: Take a pan, heat two tablespoons of oil or ghee. Put cumin seeds and allow them to splutter.
    • Include Aromatics: Put garlic, ginger, and green chili. Fry until fragrant. Add Onion: Stir inside the chopped onion and cook dinner till golden brown
    • Incorporate Tomatoes: Add the tomato puree and cook dinner till the oil separates from the combination
    • Spices: Put some turmeric powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Cook for some time.
  3.  Combine Spinach and Paneer
    •  Add Spinach Puree: Pour the spinach puree into the pan and blend properly. Simmer for 5-7 mins.
    • Paneer: If desired, gently fry the paneer cubes in oil or ghee for delivered texture. Add the paneer to the spinach mixture and lightly stir to coat.

  4.  Serve
    • Garnish: Use chopped coriander to garnish it
    • Pair: For serving user hot naan, roti, or steamed rice.

Tips

Paneer Texture: Place the paneer at least for 10 min in hot water to make it soft before cooking.
Spinach Flavor: Avoid overcooking the spinach to maintain its shade and flavor.
Adjust Spice: You can modify the spice degree with putting more or getting rid of green chili.
