Method:

Step 1: Prepare the Pakodas

  1. Take a bowl, mix gram flour, onion, chilli,ajwain and salt .
  2. To make pakora batter , make add water slowly and mix together.
  3. Heat oil and add spoonful of batter in it. Fry all till it turns golden brown.
  4. Drain on paper towel and keep aside.

Step 2: Make the Kadhi

  1. Take another bowl to prepare a mixture for kadhi. Mix curd with gram flour, haldi ,red chilli powder and salt. Add water and whisk until smooth watery consistency is achieved.
  2. Now take kadhai, heat ghee , add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red chilli, curry leaves and hing.
  3. Add curd mixture and boil.
  4. Cook kadhi on low flame for 30-40 minutes. Cook until the kadhi becomes thick , stir continuously in between.
  5. Add the pakodas to the kadhi .

Step 3:Rice Preparation

  1. In water ,add the rice and wash it properly. After that soak it for 15 min.
  2. To cook the rice ,add the rice in boiling water with pinch of salt.

Suggestions:

You can eat kadhi rice with papad, pickle and even you can eat it with salad.
