Ingredients:

  • 1 kg fresh carrots (grated)
  • 1 liter full fat milk
  • 4tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
  • 2 hundred g sugar (alter to taste)
  • 8-10 cashews (chopped)
  • 8-10 almonds (sliced)
  • 8-10 pistachios
  • 4-5 cardamom pods (powdered)
  • 2 tbsp raisins

Method:

  1. Preparing the carrots
    • To remove dirt, wash the carrots properly . After that peel and coarsely grate the carrots .
  2. Cook with milk
    • Take a heavy bottomed pan, add grated carrots and milk. Cook on medium flame till the milk reduces and the carrots melt.
  3. Ghee & sugar Adding
    • After adding sugar and ghee in halwa and cook it till it becomes thick.
  4. Garnish
    • Add cardamom powder, raisins, and nuts. Mix properly and cook for every other 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve heat
    • Garnish halwa with extra nuts and serve warm for the best taste.
