Badam Halwa is a expensive Indian sweet made with almonds, ghee, sugar, and saffron. It’s a need to-have during gala's like Diwali, Rakhi, or weddings, and its nutty richness. Best way to welcome Happy New Year.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup almonds
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup ghee
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
- Few saffron strands
- 8–10 cashews
Instructions:
- Preparation of Almond
- In hot water, Soak 1 cup of almond for 30 minutes .
- Prepare almond paste. For preparing the paste peel the almond and grind it with milk.
- Cook the Halwa
- In a pan heat the ghee. In heated ghee add the almond paste and fry it on low flame , until ghee separated from almond.
- Sweetness and Flavor
- Mix sugar and saffron milk.
- Cook the above milk mixture till it become thick.
- Add cardamom powder for perfume.
- Garnishing and Serving
- In ghee fry the cashew and place it on top.
- To serve halwa add the saffron milk on top.
