Ingredients:

For Chutney Base:   

  • 1 cup roasted peanuts
  • 2–3 green chilies (or dried red chilies)
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 1 tbsp tamarind pulp
  • Salt to flavor
  • 1/2 cup water

For Tempering :

  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp urad dal
  • 1–2 dried red chilies
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp oil

Method:

  1. Take roasted peanuts, chilies, ginger , tamarind, salt, and water and blend everything into a paste.
  2. Adjust consistency by adding extra water if needed.
  3. To prepare tempering, heat oil, add mustard , urad dal, and curry leaves. Put the tadka over chutney.
  4. The chutney is ready to be enjoyed with any south Indian dish.
