Chicken Pulao

Chicken Pulao is a rice dish that brings collectively smooth chicken, spices, and perfectly cooked rice in a single pot. It’s lighter than biryani however simply as satisfying. Perfect recipe for family gathering or party.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 500gm chicken (bone-in or boneless, reduce into pieces)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 huge, sliced onion
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1-2 green chilies (optional, for heat)
  • 1 tomato (chopped)
  • Half cup simple yogurt
  • Species which are required are as follows: bay leaf, 4 cloves, 2 cardamoms, 1 small cinnamon stick, 1 tsp cumin seed
  • Half of teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to flavor
  • Chopped coriander and mint leaves
  • 2 cups water

Instructions:

  1. Add Oil in pan , once it heated enough add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cloves, cardamoms, and cinnamon. Cook it for few minutes.
  2. To Cook the onions add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown. This provides a rich taste to base.
  3. In cooked onion add ginger garlic paste and stir it until the raw smell disappears.
  4. Cook the chicken until it turns white and turns brown slightly.
  5. Mix in tomatoes and yogurt and add chopped tomatoes, turmeric, salt. Cook until the tomatoes become thick.
  6. In a pan add the soaked rice and mix it with prepared spices and mix it well. Now cook it for some time.
  7. Boil 2 cup of water. Now add rice and cook it well.
  8. Sprinkle garam masala on top and permit it to relax for five minutes earlier than serving.

Serving Tips:

 Chicken Pulao can be served with raita or with salad or with pickle. It is a perfect dish for family lunch, dinner.
