
Chicken Pulao is a rice dish that brings collectively smooth chicken, spices, and perfectly cooked rice in a single pot. It’s lighter than biryani however simply as satisfying. Perfect recipe for family gathering or party.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 500gm chicken (bone-in or boneless, reduce into pieces)
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 huge, sliced onion
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1-2 green chilies (optional, for heat)
- 1 tomato (chopped)
- Half cup simple yogurt
- Species which are required are as follows: bay leaf, 4 cloves, 2 cardamoms, 1 small cinnamon stick, 1 tsp cumin seed
- Half of teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to flavor
- Chopped coriander and mint leaves
- 2 cups water
Instructions:
- Add Oil in pan , once it heated enough add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cloves, cardamoms, and cinnamon. Cook it for few minutes.
- To Cook the onions add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown. This provides a rich taste to base.
- In cooked onion add ginger garlic paste and stir it until the raw smell disappears.
- Cook the chicken until it turns white and turns brown slightly.
- Mix in tomatoes and yogurt and add chopped tomatoes, turmeric, salt. Cook until the tomatoes become thick.
- In a pan add the soaked rice and mix it with prepared spices and mix it well. Now cook it for some time.
- Boil 2 cup of water. Now add rice and cook it well.
- Sprinkle garam masala on top and permit it to relax for five minutes earlier than serving.
