Celebrate Jamashtami with this Makhan Misri bhog - homemade butter, jaggery, rock sugar and fresh cream, finished with tulsi leaves. It is a offering for Lord Sri Krishna and festive prasad.

Instructions:

  1. Place the ice cubes in a deep bowl and pour in a fresh cream.
  2. Whisk until the cream is separated in butter and buttermilk.
  3. Strain the cubes of ice and drain from the buttermilk. Use a sieve for the best results.
  4. Transfer butter solids to a chilled bowl. Add ghee and continue whisking until soft.
  5. Fold in the misri , cardamom powder and chopped pistachios.
  6. Garnish with tulsi leaves and transfer to the serving dish.

Storage:

Serve immediately as a prasad or refrigerate for 12 hours in an airtight container. Allow to arrive at room temperature for 10 minutes before offering.
