 Clever, chewy crust with colorful vegetables and bubbled cheese. This simple, customized wedge pizza recipe brings pizzeria-style flare to your home kitchen-suitable for dinner or pizza parties!

 Ingredients: 

(Makes 2 Medium Pizza )

 For Pizza dough:

  • 1/2 cup of warm water  
  • 1 tsp Sugar  
  • 1 tsp Dried yeast  
  • 2 cups of all purpose flour, plus extra for dusting  
  • 1 tsp salt  
  • 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil

For Sauce : 

  • 3/4 cup pizza sauce  
  • 1 tsp dry Italian seasoning  

For Toppings : 

  • 1 cup of chopped mozzarella cheese  
  • 1/2 cup sliced ​​mushrooms  
  • 1/2 cup thin sliced ​​onion  
  • 1/2 cup chopped green capsicum  
  • 1/4 cup black black olive  
  • 2 tablespoons pickled jalapenos (optional)  
  • Red chili flakes, to taste  

 For Finishing  :

  • Fresh basil leaves for decoration  
  • Olive oil

Method:

  1. Proof the yeast:  
    • In a bowl, take hot water, sugar and yeast. Let the mixture sit for 5-10 minutes.  
  2. Make the dough : 
    • Add flour, salt and oil to the fermentation mixture. Mix all together , then knead into smooth balls (add some water if it is too dry).  
  3. First rise:
    • Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover and allow to rise on a warm place until it is doubled for about 1½ - 2 hours.  
  4. Shape and topping:  
    • Preheat oven 500 ° F (260 ° C). Punch down dough, divide into two. On a little flat surface, pull each dough ball into  10-12 ″ round. 
    • Transfer to a grease baking sheet. Brush edge with olive oil. Spread the  pizza sauce evenly on rolled dough, after that sprinkle Italian seasoning, then layer it with cheese and vegetables.  
  5. Bake: 
    • Place the pizza in the hot oven . Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and  crust is golden. 
  6. Garnish and serve:  
    • Remove, add fresh basil and chilli flakes, slice and serve warm. 

 Tips and Variations :

  • Swap the mozzarella for ricotta or vegan cheese for a lighter turn.  
  • Add a handful of fresh spinach or Arugula .  
  • Pour crust with garlic: Brush perimeter with garlic butter before baking.
