Kuttu Pakora – Falahari Fritters for Festive Fasting

Crispy Kuttu Pakora made with buckwheat flour and potatoes. Perfect for Navratri fasting, gluten-free, falahari snack recipe with vrat-friendly spices
Kuttu Pakora.
A festive favorite snack which offers crispy, comforting and fasting recipe- Kuttu Pakora.

Components:

  • Buckwheat Flour /Kuttu Ka Atta - 1/2 cup
  • Boiled potatoes - 1 cup, mashed
  • Green chili - 2 tsp, finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Roasted peanuts - 2 tablespoons
  • Cumin powder - 1 tsp
  • Rock Salt (Sendha Namak) - to taste
  • Water
  • Oil - Deep for frying

Method:

  1. Mix batter
    1. Take a bowl, mix potatoes, buckwheat flour, green chilli, coriander, crushed peanuts, cumin powder and rock salt. Gradually add water to make a thick batter.
  2. Heat the oil
    1. Take a deep pan , heat the oil in it on a medium flame.
  3. Fry the pakoras
    1. Pour little ball size of batter in hot oil. Fry all until golden brown and crisp.
  4. Drain and serve
    1. Remove on absorbent paper. Serve hot with Vrat friendly chutney or plain yogurt.

Tips:

Serve the golden crispy pakoras with the side of green chutney or dahi.
