Instructions:

- Continue to bake in dry ginger (and basil seeds, if used) and bake for another 2-3 minutes.

- Cool and grind:
- Turn off the heat and let the spice to cool completely.
- Transfer the mixture to a spice grinder once cooled and grind until you get slightly coarse powder.
- Store:
- Keep your homemade chai spice powder in an airtight container. It will be fresh for a month.

Ingredients:
- Water: 2 cups
- Loose black tea: 2 tablespoons
