Introduction:

This paneer  Manchurian recipe is one of our favorite fusion dishes: Crispy paneer  cubes are thrown into vibrants, spicy-sweet sauce. As astarter  or with  fried rice or noodles is suitable as the main course, it is a showstopper that will influence every guest and satisfy your cravings.

Ingredients:

 For Paneer :

  • Paneer  : 250 grams of bite -sized cubes  
  • All-purpose Flour : 1 cup  
  • Cornstarch : 1/4 cup  
  • Salt and pepper: to taste  
  • Water: As needed (to make a simple, moderately thick batter)  
  • Oil: Deep  frying (or shallow frying for a healthy version)

 For sauce:

  • Onion: 1 large 
  • Bell pepper: 1 medium  
  • Garlic: 3 cloves  
  • Ginger: 1 teaspoon  
  • Green chili: 2  
  • Soy Sauce: 2 tablespoons  
  • Chili Sauce: 1 teaspoon   
  • Tomato Ketchup: 1 tablespoon  
  • Vinegar: 1 tbs  
  • Sugar: 1 tsp  
  • Water: 1 cup (extra as needed)  
  • Oil: 2 tablespoons   

 For Garnish:

  • Spring onion: a handful of, chopped

 Method:

  1. Prepare the batter:
    • Take  a bowl, mix the All-purpose flour, cornstarch, a pinch of salt and some pepper powder. Add water to the batter that is thick enough to coat the paneer  but still flows easily.
    • Gently toss the paneer  cubes in the batter, ensuring that each piece ensures well
  2. Fry paneer:
    • Heat the oil in a pan  on medium heat. Carefully slide the coated paneer cubes in hot oil, fry them in  until they are golden and crisp. 
    • To remove more oil, remove the fried paneer with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel.
  3. Prepare the sauce:
    • In a separate pan , heat 2 tablespoons of oil on medium heat. Add minced garlic, ginger and green chillies. Stir until aromatic. 
    • Add Diced onions and sliced ​​bell  pepper, stirring for about 2 minutes so that they are slightly soft. Pour in soy sauce, chilli sauce and tomato ketchup. 
    • Stir well to assemble. Add vinegar, sugar and corn flour slurry. Let the mixture cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Combine and Garnish:
    • Now, Add the fried paneer cubes to the pan with the sauce, keep gently stirring until each piece is coated. Cook together for another 2 minutes .
    • Garnish with chopped spring onion before serving.
  5. Serve

Tips:

  • Crispier texture: For extra crispy, make sure your oil is hot before adding paneer .
  • Healthy Version: Pan  fry the paneer on a nonstick pan instead of deep frying.
  • Taste Variations: You can mix other vegetables like carrots or  broccoli for texture and nutrition .
