Let's be honest, on occasion you simply crave that candy, savory and spicy kick of Chicken Chilli. And even as takeout is tempting, making it at home is simpler than you believe you studied, and infinitely extra enjoyable. This recipe gives you that eating place-excellent taste with out the hefty rate tag or questionable elements. Plus, you get to govern the spice level – ideal for picky eaters or chilli fanatics!

Ingredients

  •  500 gm boneless, skinless chicken breasts. Cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, minced
  • 1-2 red chilies, finely chopped (adjust to your spice preference)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil (This is optional) 
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced (This is for decoration)
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  • Marinate the chicken: For extra soft, marinate the chew-sized portions in 1 tbsp soy sauce for as a minimum 15 minutes.
  • Stir-fry the aromatics: Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or big skillet over medium-high warmness. Add the onion and bell peppers and stir-fry for three-four minutes until barely softened. Add the garlic, ginger, and chilies and stir-fry for any other minute until aromatic.
  • Cook the chicken: Add the foul to the pan and stir -7 minutes, until it is cooked and turns light to brown.
  • Create the sauce: In a small bowl, mix the last soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, cornstarch and water together until it makes easy.
  • Combine and simmer: Pour the sauce over the chook and veggies. Stir properly to mix and produce to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and cook for 2-three minutes, or till the sauce has thickened and coats the hen well.
  • Finish and serve: Stir within the sesame oil. Garnish with sliced green chillies and spring onions.
